Magoki Attori
During my recent trip to Bukhara, I visited one of the oldest and most interesting places in the city – the Magoki Attori Mosque. It was a peaceful and beautiful experience that I want to share. Magoki Attori is not like other mosques. It is located a bit lower than the street level, so you have to walk down a few steps to enter it. This shows how old it is – the ground around it has risen over time. When I entered, I felt calm and quiet. The thick brick walls and soft light inside made the place feel special. Long ago, this area was part of a busy market, where people sold perfumes and herbs. That’s why it is called "Attori" – which comes from the word for a perfume seller. The mosque itself is small but full of history. Its walls have beautiful patterns made from bricks, and every part of it shows the skill of old builders.
