Piri dastgir mosque
This year, I had the opportunity to do my internship at Pridastgir Mosque in the ancient city of Bukhara. It wasn’t just an academic requirement for me—it became a truly meaningful and unforgettable experience. As soon as I stepped into the mosque, I felt a deep sense of calm. The architecture, the quiet atmosphere, and the spiritual vibe made it clear that this was more than just a place of worship—it was a part of history. Every corner seemed to whisper stories from the past.
Bukhara itself is rich in culture and tradition, but being at Pridastgir Mosque allowed me to see how those traditions are still alive today.During my internship, I was involved in many activities. I helped with organizing lessons for children and adults, took part in religious classes, and got a closer look at how a mosque works behind the scenes. I learned how prayer times are scheduled, how cleanliness is maintained, and how the mosque staff work together to serve the community. One of the most valuable things I learned was how to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds. Watching the imams teach with kindness and patience really inspired me.
This internship wasn’t just about learning facts—it changed me on the inside too. Spending time in such a spiritual environment helped me reflect on myself. I became more focused, more organized, and more thankful for the small things in life.
